Getting to Know Me:

Mr. Horrocks grew up in the foothills of Salt Lake City, Utah, the beautiful Island of Oahu, Hawaii, and the big city of Toquerville, Utah. He graduated from Southern Utah University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2004 and continued his education as he received his Masters of Educational Leadership in 2007.

Mr. Horrocks began his teaching career in St. George, Utah at Sandstone Elementary, where his next 10 years would be spent as a Fifth-grade teacher, Staff Developer, and a Title I Coordinator. During his first year of teaching, he married the love of his life Melissa and they now have three boys and a little lady that have brought so much happiness and joy into their lives.

In 2013 Mr. Horrocks became the very fortunate principal of Sunset Elementary and is thrilled now to join the Coral Canyon Elementary community. He feels grateful to work with such exceptional students,  wonderful faculty, and an elite school community as a whole. He chooses to take an optimistic approach in all things and always focuses on doing what is best for each student.
