I am from American Fork, Utah. After I graduated high school, I moved to Dallas, Texas for a year and a half where I met my husband, and I loved it there! I moved to St. George in 2016 right after I got married. I graduated from Dixie State University this last year with my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education along with an ESL endorsement. I love hiking, reading, playing with my dog, camping, and of course, teaching!! I am so excited to teach kindergarten this year, it’s going to be a good one!
I was born in Sandy, Utah and moved to St. George, Utah when I was 11 years old. I attended Dixie High School where I was involved in every musical theater production possible and performed in the Madrigal honor choir. After graduating, I attended Dixie State University where I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary degree with an endorsement in ESL. My husband and I were married while I was attending college and we started our family shortly after my graduation. For the past decade or so, I’ve been a busy stay-at-home mom of 4 children, a preschool teacher for 6 years and a PTA volunteer for 10 years. In 2019, I went back to school and completed my Early Childhood Endorsement. I enjoy spending my time learning new things, planning engaging lessons for my students and spending time with my friends and family. This will be my second year teaching first grade for the Washington County School District. I am new to Coral Canyon this year and couldn’t be more excited!
Getting to Know Me: I was born and raised in St. George Utah. My father taught band at Woodward (the 6th grade center) for many years and I would often help him correct papers and work at his school. I began to love teaching and have always loved working with children! As I worked at a daycare teaching preschool and then after opening my own preschool for a few years before going back to school to enter the education program. I earned my bachelor's in Education at Dixie State University and my Master's degree from Western Governors University. I love teaching third graders! These young people are at a really fun age and the classroom is always full of interesting ideas and conversations. I enjoy camping, swimming, and traveling with my family. Our goal is to visit all 50 states. We have 19 down, 31 more to go…
