My Email: Roberta.Rushton@washk12.orgI've had the opportunity to work with the wonderful faculty, students, and families at Coral Canyon Elementary since March of 2021 when I started as a Behavior Tech. Now, I am excited to be part of the Special Education Team! From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a teacher, and graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a degree in Elementary Education. I have 8 children, ranging in ages from 16 - 30; 5 of whom participated in Special Education programs. I am grateful for how Special Education has served my family and I love that I will now have the opportunity to serve the families of Coral Canyon.
While attending UNLV, I met and married my husband of 31 years. After college we continued to live in Las Vegas before moving to Midland, Texas; Charlotte, North Carolina; Fort Worth, Texas and we moved to the Coral Canyon area in 2019. Growing up I also lived in Spain, Colorado and Oregon. At our busy home we have 5 sons, 2 dogs, a cat, a turtle and 6 koi fish : )
