Getting to Know Me: I grew up in Western Kansas and Southern California.  I have a BA from the University of California San Diego, a M.Ed. from Holy Names College in Oakland, CA, and endorsements in ESL, Gifted/Talented, Elementary Mathematics, and Educational Technology. I was at Coral Canyon Elementary when it opened in 2006 and I adore this school! As I kid I loved swimming, camping, and reading and hated running, broccoli, and meanies. I’ve been a learner my whole life and a teacher of some kind for over half of it.  These days I still like swimming, camping, and reading but also now do a lot of cooking and Web surfing. First grade is my FAVORITE of all the grades I’ve taught!

Getting to Know Me:  I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and moved to St. George, Utah when I was 4 years old. I went to Dixie State High School where I played on the golf team and ran track. After graduating in 2008, I decided to stay local and attend Dixie State University where I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree.  I have been at Coral Canyon since 2013 and there is no place I’d rather be! I have a Reading Endorsement from Utah Valley University as well as a Masters Degree in Education from Southern Utah University.  I married my high school sweetheart in 2012 and we have 2 sweet dogs, Harley and Sophie. I love to hike, kayak, paddle board, swim, travel, craft, read, and of course, TEACH!

Getting to Know Me: I grew up in Kaysville and Fruit Heights, Utah. After graduating in elementary education from BYU, I spent a year teaching English in Taiwan. I also lived in Austria for a year and Germany for six months. I love learning about different people and visiting new places. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades. I enjoyed working in the computer lab my first year here at Coral Canyon, but I am happy to be back in first grade! My husband is also a teacher in Washington County School District. We enjoy hiking, biking, camping and popping popcorn on the stove together. The ultimate treat is spending time with friends and family, but my other favorite activities are baking cookies and reading mysteries!

I then returned to California to teach for four years and received my Masters degree from California Baptist University. I married my husband in 2013 and we welcomed our daughter one year ago. Getting to Know Me:  I was born in northern Utah, but raised in Blaine, Minnesota. When I was eleven years old, I traded in my snow boots for flip-flops and moved to St. George, Utah, where I graduated from Pine View High School. I am married with four amazing sons. When my sons became a bit older, I went back to school to further my education. I am currently attending Dixie State University and working towards my degree in Elementary Education with an ESL (English as a Second Language) Endorsement. I will be co-teaching with Mrs. Christensen this year as a SEE (Student Enhanced Education) Apprentice. Later in the year, I will complete my student teaching and graduate.
