1st Grade Team
I was born and raised in Germany until my parents sent me to the United States to learn better English. I was 16 at the time and quickly started loving the people and the country. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education as well as my ESL endorsement in 2017. I have always loved riding horses as a child and it is still my passion today. I married my husband in 2015 and we have a son who was born in 2019. As a family we love to spend time outside and have barbecues with friends. I found my love in teaching as a young girl while giving riding lessons and working as a tutor. I loved sharing my passion for horses as well as making learning fun for all students. It is still my focus today to show my students what they can do, be confident as well as enjoy learning.
I am from American Fork, Utah. After I graduated high school, I moved to Dallas, Texas for a year and a half where I met my husband, and I loved it there! I moved to St. George in 2016 right after I got married. I graduated from Dixie State University this last year with my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education along with an ESL endorsement. I love hiking, reading, playing with my dog, camping, and of course, teaching!! I am so excited to teach kindergarten this year, it’s going to be a good one!
I graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education. I earned a Masters in Learning and Technology in 2020. As a part of my teacher education, I had an unique experience to do half of my student teaching in Rosendal, Norway. I love spending time with my students and teaching them is one of my joys. I enjoy learning by reading and am consistently working to improve myself as a person and a teacher. Some other things I love include: The Flash, bullet journaling, Steve (my puppy), Cherry Blade Lemonade Bang, crossfit, and reading.
I was born in Sandy, Utah and moved to St. George, Utah when I was 11 years old. I attended Dixie High School where I was involved in every musical theater production possible and performed in the Madrigal honor choir. After graduating, I attended Dixie State University where I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary degree with an endorsement in ESL. My husband and I were married while I was attending college and we started our family shortly after my graduation. For the past decade or so, I’ve been a busy stay-at-home mom of 4 children, a preschool teacher for 6 years and a PTA volunteer for 10 years. In 2019, I went back to school and completed my Early Childhood Endorsement. I enjoy spending my time learning new things, planning engaging lessons for my students and spending time with my friends and family. This will be my second year teaching first grade for the Washington County School District. I am new to Coral Canyon this year and couldn’t be more excited!
