Getting to Know Me:  I have lived in Texas, Montana, California, Wisconsin, Wyoming and Nebraska. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE teaching at Coral Canyon! I think it is the best school in the district!!! (Of course, I’m not biased! :)) In the past, I’ve taught 2nd grade, Reading Recovery, Interventions and 1st grade. I’ve also worked as a co-staff developer for one year. I have an ESL and a Reading endorsement as well as my K-3/Early Childhood endorsement.  My husband and I enjoy swimming, reading, watching movies and going out to eat together when we have free time. My husband works at Dixie State University as an adjunct professor teaching geography. I have 5 grown children and 22 living grandchildren with a granddaughter and a grandson who have died. I’m excited to be on the Kindergarten Team. I love kindergarten students! They are excited to be in school and to be learning so many things. This is a new experience for me and I’m learning lots of new things from them as well!

Getting to Know Me: I was born in St. George, Utah and have lived here my whole life! I attended Dixie High School where I was a member of the Dixie High Jetettes Drill Team. After graduating I went to Dixie State University and danced on their dance team for 3 years. I graduated in 2016 with my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. Along with my degree, I have an ESL Endorsement. I have been teaching Kindergarten/OEK (Optional Extended Day Kindergarten) for the past two years and have LOVED it. My mom (Marcia Hammer) taught Kindergarten for 29 years and was a great role model for me.  For the past 7 years, I have been an assistant coach to the Dixie High Jetettes and love to be with them in the mornings before school starts. I have always loved to dance and now it is just as fun to coach and choreograph routines. This past year I got married and it has been the best!  In my spare time, I love to be with my family and friends, travel to new places, or watch a good movie with treats! I am SO excited to be at Coral Canyon! I know it’s going to be the BEST year!
